You can obtain additional style pack(s) for E-X50 through Roland Cloud Manager and playback/load/save them.
The following are required.
- E-X50
- Roland Cloud Manager app (Windows, macOS)
- USB flash drive (32MB to 128GB)
Follow the steps below:
Download Style Data
- Install Roland Cloud Manager app (Windows/macOS).
- Launch the Roland Cloud Manager app, and then click “Sign in”.
-If you have not yet created an account, click “Sign up” to create an account. - Sign in to Roland Cloud.
-If you need to change the language settings for Roland Cloud Manager app, see the related Q&A “How to Change the Language in Roland Cloud Manager” for details. - Download the style pack.
- > E-X50/30 > Select a style pack and click “Download”
- > Click “Series” and select “E-X50/30” > Click “Install” for the style pack you wish to download
- Extract the downloaded file.
- Windows: Right-click the file and select “Extract All”, then click “Extract”.
- Mac: Double-click the file to unzip it.
- Open the extracted folder, and copy the STY file(s) to the level immediately displayed on accessing the USB flash drive (the USB flash drive's root directory).
- Connect the USB flash drive to the USB MEMORY port on the E-X50.
Playing a Style from a USB Flash Drive
- Press the [USB] button to enter the USB Style menu.
- Use the data dial to select the style you wish to play.
- Press the [START/STOP] button to playback.
- Press the [START/STOP] button again to stop the playback.
Loading a Style from a USB Flash Drive

- Press the [MENU] button to enter the function menu.
- Press the [USB] button to enter the USB menu.
- Use the data dial to select “LoadSTY”, then press the [ENTER] button to move the cursor to the style file name (*.sty) in the lower menu.
- Use the data dial to select a style file you wish to load from the USB flash drive, then press the [ENTER] button.
-The user styles that are available, will now appear. - Use the data dial to select a user style (301-330) to be a loading destination.
-If you select a user style with no style data, “No File!” appears, and if you select a user style with style data exists, its style name appears. - Press the [ENTER] button.
-“Load OK!” appears.
NOTE: If the selected user style already has data, the confirmation message “Cover?” appears. To overwrite the existing style data, press the [ENTER] button to proceed with loading. To cancel, press the [EXIT] button.
-When loading is complete, the display returns to the USB menu.
