Be sure to download the driver that matches your computer type (Mac or Windows) and the version of your operating system. Once downloaded, run the setup application to install the driver on your system. You may be prompted to restart your computer during installation. - Confirm that the USB driver is installed correctly and that the computer is communicating correctly with the UM-ONE.
- On a Windows PC, open the Device Manager and confirm that the UM-ONE is listed under "Sound, video, and game controllers".
- On a Macintosh, look in the Audio MIDI Setup utility and confirm that the UM-ONE is listed in the MIDI Studio window.
- Activate or enable the UM-ONE in your music software.
Please refer to your music software’s documentation for your specific application for this, but usually there is a preferences menu where you will need to enable the UM-ONE so it can be used by your software. This will allow you to transfer MIDI data between your MIDI device and the computer using the UM-ONE.
When Connecting to a Windows 10 Computer: On Windows 10, the UM-ONE driver is usually installed automatically when the device is connected via USB, so manual installation is not required. The "USB" LED will light up to indicate that the connection is successful. You can check the installation in Device Manager under "Sound, video, and game controllers." Once the driver is installed and the LED is lit, the UM-ONE is ready to use with music software.
Note: The UM-ONE is NOT compatible with Windows 11.
