You can use this procedure to check the version of the system in the VP-7:
1. Turn all controls on the top panel counterclockwise all the way.
2. Hold down KIDS CHOIR and TRIO 1 and switch on the power to the unit. The 442 Hz/0 dB LED lights up, and the eight buttons at the bottom of the panel (Bypass, Female Choir, Kids Choir, Gregorian Choir, Jazz Scat, Duet, Trio 1, and Trio 2) indicate the system version.
As shown below, the illuminated position and color of the eight LEDs indicate the value to the second decimal place. (-: dark, R: red, G: green, O: orange)

3. Press FEMALE CHOIR to make the illuminated LED change from 442 Hz/0 dB to 441 Hz, then to 440 Hz, and so on, and verify the versions of the following when each is illuminated.

440 Hz/-6 dB: Wave version
439 Hz/-24 dB: Application build
438 Hz/-48 dB: Boot build
