The contents of the RD-2000’s user memory and system memory can be saved to an USB memory device (Backup) or returned to the RD (Restore). We strongly recommend backing up all important data periodically.
BACKUP
Note: If you back up with a file name that is identical to existing backup data on the SD card, the existing data will be overwritten. If you want to save a new backup, you must assign it a different name.
- Connect a USB memory device / key to the USB MEMORY port on the back of the RD-2000.
- Press MENU.
- CURSOR to "Utility" and press ENTER.
- CURSOR to “Backup Save” and press ENTER.
- Use the </> buttons and the dial to name the backup file, then press ENTER.
- Use the </> buttons to highlight "OK" and press ENTER.
- After the backup is complete, remove the USB memory device and store it in a safe place.
Note: Never turn off the power while a backup is in progress.
RESTORE
- Press MENU.
- CURSOR to "Utility" and press ENTER.
- CURSOR to “Backup Load” and press ENTER.
- Use the INC/DEC buttons to select the file that you want to restore, then press ENTER. Note: When you execute the Restore operation, all user settings currently saved in the RD-2000 are lost. If you want to keep the current settings, back them up with a different name.
- Use the </> buttons to highlight "OK" and press ENTER.
- When the restore is completed, press EXIT twice to return to the main screen on the RD-2000.
Note: Never turn off the power during the Restore operation.
