GR-55: GK-3 Switch and GR-55 Common Output Options
On the GK-3 you have 3 switch settings: SYNTH, MIX, GUITAR
SYNTH: for PCM TONE 1 and 2, MOD
MIX: for PCM TONE 1 and 2, MOD and NORMAL PICKUP (If it is ACTIVE/ON within the TONE EDIT PAGE)
GUITAR: for GUITAR OUTPUT on the GR-55 (BYPASSES ALL GR-55 SYNTH/MOD) You MUST be connected to GUITAR OUTPUT to have audible reference of DRY DIRECT GUITAR SIGNAL!
If user selects SYNTH only PCM and MOD TONES will be heard, no Normal Pickup GUITAR.
If user selects MIX, and NORMAL PICKUP is ON within a PATCH (TONE EDIT PAGE), then you'll hear PCM, MOD and GUITAR in MIX MODE.
NOTE: If NORMAL PICK UP is OFF you won't hear GUITAR in MIX MODE.
If you select GUITAR, you won't hear any PCM TONE 1,2 or MOD only DRY DIRECT GUITAR SIGNAL but ONLY OUTPUT from GUITAR OUT.
COMMON OUTPUT SETUP CHOICES FOR THE GR-55:
1. GR-55 to Amp: Use only L/MONO OUT and adjust your PATCHES for NORMAL PICKUP ON/OFF in TONE EDIT PAGE
2. GR-55 to Amp: Use a 1/4" Female TS to 2x 1/4" Male TS cable adapter: connect one of each MALE TS end to L/MONO OUT and GUITAR OUT, connect another 1/4" TS instrument cable to the Female TS end and connect to Amp. Reference Link: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/YGQF2Q1
3. GR-55 to Amp: Use a AB/Y switch with connections MALE TS ends to L/MONO OUT (A) and GUITAR OUT (B), Y connect to AMP with 1/4" TS instrument cable. Use AB/Y switch to Toggle through A/B or A+B.
4. GR-55 to 2 Amps or a Stereo Input Amp: connect L/MONO OUT and GUITAR OUT to each AMP INPUT.
