VE-8: FS-6 PEDAL FUNCTION CUSTOMIZATION

Here's how you can customize your VE-8: by adding an FS-6 footswitch.

For this you will need:

• Your VE-8
• An FS-6 Footswitch - BOSS - FS-6 | Dual Footswitch
• A TRS/Stereo 1/4" phone type cable

1. Hold down the [MEMORY] button and press the [HARMONY] pedal.
   
   The [MEMORY] button and [HARMONY] pedal are lit red; the VE-8 is in system setting mode.
   You will enter SYSTEM SETTINGS MODE/MENUS:
2. Press the [MEMORY] button to select a parameter.
   For External Footswitch Settings, make sure that C1 (for pedal B) or C2 (for Pedal A) is flashing.
   Memo: To return to the previous parameter, hold down the [EXIT] button and press the [MEMORY] button
3. Use the [▼] [▲] buttons to select a your desired parameter for either C1 or C2. For example, to set the footswitch to control VOCAL HARMONY, use the [▼] [▲] buttons to find number 9.
   Refer to the below table for the parameters assignable to an external footswitch.

   	15	TUNER ON/OFF

   To change the mode or pedal setting, press the [MEMORY] button until 1N (C1 Mode), 2N (C2 Mode), CP (CHORUS) or hP (HARMONY) is shown on the display.

   • C1 Mode sets your pedal to MOMENTARY MODE (The effect engages while the pedal is held down).
   • C2 Mode sets your pedal to TOGGLE (The effect switches with each press. This is the default mode)
     
4. Press the [EXIT] button to exit settings mode.
   Your footswitch assigns are now saved to your SYSTEM SETTINGS.
