If the VS-2000CD loads directly to the "Setup Drive" window and will not load any projects, the hard drive may be fragmented.
First try turning off the VS-2000CD and then back on again a few times. If the projects eventually load, immediately backup and then format the fragmented drive:

If the projects still do not load, there are two options:
- If you need to keep the songs on the hard drive, you may contact our Service and Inventory department at 323-890-3740 ex 7710 to arrange for "Data Recovery" service. Our service technicians can attempt to recover any data that is on the hard drive.
- Format the hard drive by following the article found here: VS-2000CD: Formatting a Hard Drive
Note: Formatting will erase all data on the hard drive.
If the problem continues, the hard drive may need to be replaced:

Note that due safety and liability reasons and the age of the product, we don't have instructions regarding how to replace a hard drive or where to purchase a new one.
If the issue still continues, it sounds like the VS-2000CD will need service unfortunately:
