Condenser microphones require power in order to operate. While phantom power (48 volts) is the most common, be sure to check the specifications of the microphone to know what type of power is required.
While the Go:Mixer does not supply phantom power, an external phantom power box, that provides 48 volts of power to the microphone, can be used. Roland doesn't manufacture these but they can be purchased at any dealer or online.
CONNECTIONS
- Connect the microphone to the input of phantom power box.
- Connect the output of the phantom power box to the microphone port of the GO:MIXER.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Use only an unbalanced cable (also know as TS OR Tip/Sleeve) when connecting to the microphone input of the GO:MIXER. - Connect the tagged end of the supplied USB cable to the GO:MIXER and the other end to the iPhone or Android device.
- Use the supplied USB cable only. 3rd pary USB cables are not compatible.
- Do not connect the included USB cable to any device other than this unit.
