RC-300: Create Assign for Expression Pedal Control of Rhythm Guide Level
The RC-300 Rhythm Guide has an ON/OFF but is not foot switchable, however an ASSIGNMENT
can be programmed to control the Rhythm Guide volume level with the on board EXPRESSION
PEDAL or an EXTERNAL EXPRESSION PEDAL connected to EXP2 or EXP3 jack via 1/4" TRS STEREO
CABLE.
Using the on board EXPRESSION PEDAL to control the RHYTHM GUIDE volume is probably the
best work around solution to control RHYTHM GUIDE volume level.
Use the ASSIGN 1 to have your on board RC-300 EXPRESSION PEDAL control the RHYTHM GUIDE
volume for ducking the volume when needed.
From any MEMORY LOCATION:
Press [MEMORY EDIT] twice, navigate to ASSIGN 1 and set the following:
ASSIGN1 SWITCH: ON
ASSIGN1 TARGET: RHY LEVEL for RHYTHM GUIDE LEVEL
ASSIGN1 TARGET MIN: 0
ASSIGN1 TARGET MAX: 200
ASSIGN1 SOURCE: EXP1 PEDAL
ASSIGN1 SRC MODE: MOMENT
(Use MOMENTARY for range based sweeping, LATCH for toggle ON/OFF type functions.)
Press [WRITE] button twice to WRITE/SAVE settings to the specific MEMORY LOCATION number.
Test and check: press RHYTHM GUIDE [ON/OFF] to turn on the RHYTHM GUIDE and use the
EXPRESSION PEDAL to control the RHYTHM GUIDE volume level.
NOTE: Change the ASSIGN1 SOURCE: to EXP2 or EXP3 if using an EXTERNAL EXPRESSION PEDAL
connected. To keep DEFAULT ASSIGNMENTS the same, make the above settings in ASSIGNMENTS
7 or 8 which are blank by DEFAULT.
