Installation:
Before installing the GT-10 USB driver onto your computer, you must change the GT-10's default USB Driver mode.
First make sure the GT-10 is *not* connected via USB, and then:
1. Press SYSTEM.
2. CURSOR to "USB," and then press CATEGORY/ENTER.
3. Turn the VALUE dial to change Driver Mode from "Standard" to "Advanced."
4. Turn off the GT-10.
Disconnect all USB devices except the keyboard and mouse, and then start Windows.
Check that the computer is connected to the Internet. One way to test this is to open a browser and try to watch a video online (e.g. www.youtube.com). If the video freezes or doesn't play, there may be a connection issue with your internet service provider.
In Windows, close the "Sound" settings screen of the Control Panel and all running applications.
Be sure to deactivate at anti-virus software that you may have running in the computer.
Do not connect the GT-10's USB port to a USB hub, but rather a physical USB connection on the computer. Please note as well, that the GT-10 is not compatible with USB 3.0 ports. Only 3.0 ports with backwards compatibility can be used.
Turn on the power of GT-10 and connect it to the computer using a USB A-B cable.
The driver will be installed automatically.
After several minutes, click the start button and then click "All apps".
Click to open the Roland/BOSS folder. If the "GT-10" icon is displayed, the installation is completed.
The Installation can take up to 10 minutes depending on the Internet connectivity or if there are other drivers being installed for other devices.
A problem may have occurred if GT-10 is connected but cannot be used after waiting for 10 minutes. In this case, the following information can be used for further troubleshooting:
The computer's device recognition may have failed. Disconnect the USB cable from both the GT-10 and the computer and then reconnect both. Reboot the computer and the GT-10.
Try a different USB port on the computer.
Try a different USB cable.

On the bottom left of the Windows 10 screen, click on the search box and type "update."
Then select "Check for updates."
Click on the "Check for updates" box. The driver should install automatically after a few minutes.
