The JS-10 is a patch based menu system, so you can use an external FS-6/FS-7 dual foot switch to toggle through sound PATCHES sequentially up or down in the patch order you WRITE/saved and organized them. PATCH programming would be the location where you'd set up your GUITAR TONES for example: CLEAN, LEAD, CRUNCH; with these three tones, the user can navigate PATCH +1 one up, and PATCH -1 one down, from the current patch location. This allows for switching between tones, effects, different gain settings, sounds and patches.
Below are the following possible functions/assignments the user can setup for the behavior of an externally connected FS-6 or FS-7 dual foot switch.
Note: If connecting a dual FS-6/FS-7 footswitch connect from A+B jack using a 1/4" TRS stereo cable to CTL1 / CTL2 input jack on the JS-10.

- Follow this sequence of steps: [MENU] button > “SYSTEM” > [ENTER] button > “PEDAL” > [ENTER] button.
- Set a function to CTL 1 or CTL 2.
CTL 1 / CTL 2 Explanation PLAY/STOP Operate the player (Play/Stop). REC/STOP Operate the recorder (Rec/Stop). IN1 PATCH +1 Switch the effect patch number for INPUT 1 (GUITAR/MIC) jack (+1). IN1 PATCH -1 Switch the effect patch number for INPUT 1 (GUITAR/MIC) jack (-1). IN2 PATCH +1 Switch the effect patch number for INPUT 2 (GUITAR/MIC) jack (+1). IN2 PATCH -1 Switch the effect patch number for INPUT 2 (GUITAR/MIC) jack (-1).
