The following will guide through setting up the BR-1180CD as a Master device to control a DR-670 as a slave device via MIDI Clock.
MIDI Cable Connections
Connect a MIDI cable to the MIDI OUT of the BR-1180CD and the MIDI IN of the DR-670.
BR-1180 Settings
- On the BR-1180, press [UTILITY].
- Use [CURSOR] to select the “SYNC” icon, and press [ENTER].
- Use the TIME VALUE dial to set "Gen." to "MIDI CLOCK". Leave all other settings at their default.
- Press [EXIT] repeatedly to return to the top screen.
DR-670 Settings
- Hold SHIFT and press PAD 14/MIDI.
- Use the buttons to select "MID SYNC" in the display and use the TEMPO/VALUE dial to select "AUTO".
Playing the BR and DR Together
Press PLAY on the BR-1180. When the BR-1180 begins playing, the DR-670 will also begin playing in sync with it.
NOTE: If the DR-670 is in SONG mode, a song needs to be created or selected in order play. For instructions regarding creating/recording a song in the DR-670, refer to page 63 of the owner's manual.
