Summary:
In this article we'll explore the SY-300 expression pedal options, connectivity and instructions for a simple expression control of a patch target parameter: EFFECT LEVEL.
What You'll Need:
- SY-300
- BOSS EV expression pedal. In this example we'll use the EV-30. The EV-5, FV-500H/L are also BOSS EV expression pedal options compatible with your SY-300.
- 1/4" TRS stereo cable
Make sure you're connected from the EV-30 Exp Out jack, to the SY-300 EXPRESSION CTL 4/5 jack, with a 1/4" TRS (Tip Ring Sleeve cable). Set the EV-30 to NORMAL MODE and TRIM level to MINIMUM for the EXPRESSION JACK you are using. If using an alternate EV pedal make sure to set the MIN knob to absolute MIN/zero, for full range sweep.
