GR-55: How to Edit Tones and Normal Pickup On/Off
EDIT TONE PAGE has the four available sounds that can be all simultaneously active or can be custom programmed for a variation of any of these TONES ON/OFF using the check box to the left of the TONE.
To access the EDIT TONE PAGE, from any USER PATCH PLAY SCREEN:
- Press [EDIT] button, use the [PAGE ARROW LEFT <] button and navigate to the EDIT TONE PAGE.

- Use the [NAVIGATION ARROWS] around the SCROLL DIAL to go DOWN and to the LEFT to select the ON/OFF BOXES next to the four editable TONES.
- Use the SCROLL DIAL to FILL or EMPTY the box for ON/OFF.
Turn the SCROLL DIAL clockwise to FILL for ON or turn the SCROLL DIAL counter-clockwise for OFF. FILLED = ON and UNFILLED = OFF.
- If you'd like to hear the NORMAL GUITAR PICKUP turn ON the TONE for NORMAL PICKUP if you don't want to hear NORMAL GUITAR PICKUP turn OFF the TONE for NORMAL PICKUP.
NOTE: All four TONES will be OUTPUT from LEFT or RIGHT MONO OUTPUT on the GR-55 NOT from the GUITAR OUT. The GK-3 CONTROLLER will need to be set to MIX. GUITAR OUT is dedicated signal path for when the GK-3 CONTROLLER is set to GUITAR.
GK-3 set to GUITAR = GUITAR OUTPUT on GR-55.
GK-3 set to MIX = PCM1, PCM2, MOD and NORMAL PICKUP OUTPUT (depending on what is selected ON/OFF for the EDIT TONE PAGE) from LEFT/RIGHT MONO on the GR-55.
Press WRITE twice to WRITE/SAVE your settings to the USER PATCH LOCATION.
Make sure you are editing a USER PATCH (USER PATCH BUTTON) to WRITE/SAVE your settings.
PRESET PATCHES under SOUNDS STYLES: LEAD/RHTYHM/OTHER are editable but you'll need to WRITE/SAVE changes to the USER BANK PATCH section (USER 01-1 to USER 99-3).
PRESET PATCHES are hard coded and programmed and will not preserve edits or changes, when you navigate away and back, they'll return to factory default PRESET settings.
