Yes. The Roland TD-02K and TD-02KV support other single kick pedals (such as the KD-10 or KT-10), as well as double bass drum and twin pedal playing.
Connecting the KT-1 (included) to the KT-10 (sold separately)
- Connect the KIK plug of the dedicated cable to the OUTPUT jack of the kick pedal (KT-1 or KT-10) on the first unit.
- Connect the MIX IN jack of the first kick pedal to the OUTPUT jack of the second kick pedal (KT-10 or KT-1) using the cable supplied with the KT-10.
- Select the connected kick pedal for the PAD Type.
- Press the [MENU] button.
- Use the [<] [>] buttons to select “PAD”, and press the [ENTER] button.
The PAD screen appears. - Press the kick pedal for the first unit.
You can also select the pad to configure by holding down the [ENTER] button and pressing the [<] [>] buttons. - Use the [<] [>] buttons to select “Type”, and use the [-] [+] buttons to switch to the connected kick pedal (“KT1” or “KT10”).
- Press the [
] (DRUM KIT) button to return to the DRUM KIT screen.
Using the KD series (sold separately) with a twin pedal
- Set a twin pedal for the kick pad (KD series).
The stand pipe may get in the way, depending on the kick pad size. Set up the stand so that the twin pedal shaft does not touch the stand pipe.
See the "Pad Type List" in the "TD-02 Owner's Manual" for details on the pads that can select for the PAD Type of the TD-2. - Connect the KIK plug of the dedicated cable to the OUTPUT jack of the kick pad.
- Select the connected kick pedal for the PAD Type.
Follow the instructions in step 2 to view the PAD screen and select the connected kick pedal.
