If the TD-02 is connected to your computer via a USB cable (sold separately), you can transmit and receive MIDI and audio data.
-A USB cable is not included. Use a commercially available USB cable that supports data transfer and USB 2.0.
-Use a USB port on your computer that supports USB 2.0 Hi-Speed.
Using USB MIDI
You can record your drumming into a DAW via MIDI, and then play back the MIDI data to trigger the sounds on the TD-02. By installing the Melodics™ for V-Drums app (Windows, macOS, iPadOS), you can practice drumming along with the notes on your computer screen.
-When using only USB MIDI, a USB driver does not need to be installed.
Using USB audio
USB audio lets you record your drumming into your DAW as an audio track, or play along with music playing back on your computer.
-To use USB audio, you must install the USB driver on your computer. https://www.roland.com/global/products/td-02kv/downloads/
