You can play along with songs from your smartphone or computer using the TD-02's MIX IN jack, USB connection, or Bluetooth (with the optional BT-DUAL adaptor).
Connecting a cable to the MIX IN jack
- Connect a stereo mini-plug cable (commercially available) from your computer or mobile device to the MIX IN jack of the TD-02. Use an audio cable that does not contain resistors.
- Play a song on your computer or mobile device. Use your computer or mobile device to adjust the song volume.
Connecting via USB
The TD-02 supports USB audio. Connect the TD-02 to your computer with a USB cable to hear the song playing back on your computer through the TD-02, or to send your drum performance to your DAW for recording. The USB driver must be installed to transmit and receive audio as USB audio. See "Using This Unit with a Computer or Mobile Device App" in the TD-02 Owner's Manual for details.
Connecting via Bluetooth
The TD-02 sound module does not have built-in Bluetooth functionality. To play back music wirelessly on your mobile device, attach the Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor (BT-DUAL, sold separately). See "Connecting Wirelessly via Bluetooth" in the TD-02 Owner's Manual for details.
Note:
- Bluetooth audio only transmits one way, from your mobile device to the TD-02.
- Use your mobile device to adjust the song volume.
