If you can hear the COACH and METRONOME sounds on the TD-02K or TD-02KV, but hear nothing when you strike the pads, check the "Local Ctrl" setting. This is normally set to "ON"; if it's set to "OFF", the performance data from the pads is disconnected from the sound module.
- Press the [MENU] button.
- Use the [<] [>] buttons to select "MIDI", then press the [ENTER] button.
- Use the [<] [>] buttons to select "Local Ctrl", then use the [-] [+] buttons to set it to "ON".
