If Bluetooth audio isn't working between the TD-02 and your mobile device, check the following points.
Check the direction of the audio signal
If pairing and connection are successful but you cannot hear sound the way you expect, check the direction of the audio signal first. Bluetooth audio on the Roland TD-02K and TD-02KV only transmits one way, from your mobile device to the TD-02. You cannot send sound from the TD-02 to a Bluetooth speaker or Bluetooth earphones. If you are trying to do this, this is expected behavior, not a malfunction.
Check if the Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor ("BT-DUAL") is properly connected
If pairing or connection itself is not working, first make sure that the BT-DUAL is connected properly by aligning the screw holes on the BT-DUAL and the TD-02.
Try the pairing process again
- If "TD-02 AUDIO" is shown in the Bluetooth device list on your mobile device: Temporarily deregister (unpair) the "TD-02 AUDIO" device in the mobile device's Bluetooth settings. Turn Bluetooth off and then on, and try pairing again.
- If "TD-02 AUDIO" is not shown in the Bluetooth device list of your mobile device: Turn the mobile device's Bluetooth function off and then on again, and initiate pairing on this unit to reconnect.
