Noise issues (such as pops, clicks, dropouts, choppy, etc) are often signs of a buffer size issue. There are generally two buffer settings within a computer audio system:
- The buffer setting in your audio interface (i.e. the Bridge Cast) adjusts the INTERFACE's access to the computer's RAM (buffer).
- The buffer setting in your recording software (e.g. OBS Studio, etc) adjusts the SOFTWARE's access to the computer's RAM. This is also labeled as "Bitrate" within the streaming software's settings.
These two buffer settings are independent of each other; however, each affect the performance of your computer audio system.
Be sure to check the Audio Buffer Size setting for the Bridge Cast if there are noise issues and/or dropouts. Increase the buffer size until the problem goes away. Follow the steps below.
- If any application is using the BRIDGE CAST as a USB audio device, then exit it.
※ Note that if any application uses the BRIDGE CAST as a USB audio device, the message "Device currently used by another application." is shown in step 4, and you cannot change the buffer size. - In Windows, click the Start button, open the "Roland" folder, then click "BRIDGE CAST".
-The "BRIDGE CAST Driver Settings" dialog box appears. - Raise the "Audio Buffer Size" to a larger value. (default value: 6)
- Click the "Apply" button.
Increase the value to where the sound is stable. - Click the "Close" button.

If the noise and/or dropouts continue, adjust the audio buffer setting (or Bitrate setting) within your streaming software.
Note: As each manufacturer's software differs from version to version, please refer to the software's current manual or online help for the proper audio buffer (or bitrate) adjustment procedures.
