You can connect a dynamic microphone or a condenser microphone that supports phantom power (XLR type, DC 48 V, max. 10 mA) to the MIC/LINE INPUT jacks of the FANTOM-6, FANTOM-7, and FANTOM-8.
To use a microphone, enable the MIC/LINE input on the rear panel.
- Press MENU to open the Effects Edit screen.
- Touch EFFECTS EDIT.
- Select the "Audio In" tab at the top of the screen.
In the lower-left corner, you can turn the rear-panel input on or off.
Make sure a blue line appears above "AUDIO IN," as shown in the image below.

On this screen, you can turn the input on or off, adjust the level, add effects, and enable phantom power if needed.
