The SY-200 uses a 3.5mm / 1/8" TRS (TIP RING SLEEVE stereo like) mini MIDI Type A input/output jacks.
There are two cable options for connecting the SY-200 with external MIDI devices:
- If the external MIDI device supports the same, 3.5mm / 1/8" TRS stereo mini MIDI Type A jack, then use a 3.5mm / 1/8" TRS mini MIDI Type A connecting cable, to connect with the external MIDI device (MIDI cables sold separately).
For example: 3.5mm TRS to 3.5mm TRS cable options for MIDI device Input/Output:
BCC-1-3535 or BCC-2-3535
- If the external MIDI device supports the more traditional MIDI 5pin Input/Output ports, then use a MIDI 5 pin to 3.5mm / 1/8" TRS TYPE A, 5pin to mini TRS adapter cable.
For example use the 3.5mm / 1/8" TRS stereo mini MIDI Type A to 5pin MIDI Type A cable.

microUSB MIDI CABLE OPTION:
In other user situations a micro USB B type data cable to USB 2.0 A cable end, may be used for USB MIDI data transfer between BOSS pedal and computer (Windows OS /macOS). Please reference your BOSS pedal Owner's Manual and Parameter Guide for specific micro USB functionality and support.
The user may use any commercially available micro USB B type to USB 2.0 A type data cable.
Please check that the micro USB B type cable is not only for charging, but for charging and data transfer. A data transfer micro USB B type cable is essential for MIDI data transfer between BOSS pedal and computer.
