When using headphones to monitor the IR-200, it is important to deactivate and turn off the internal IR-200 SURROUND effect, otherwise some of the Ambience effect will still be heard.
TIP: When the SURROUND effect is on, the signal is summed, which prevents isolated discrete audio from the Left/Right outputs, so be sure to turn off the SURROUND effect when discrete Left/Right audio output is desired.
To turn off the AMBIENCE effect:
Press and hold the [AMBIENCE] knob for several seconds until "OFF" appears on the screen.
To turn off the SURROUND effect:
- Press the [MENU] button.
- Turn the [MEMORY] knob to scroll to the SYSTEM menu.
- Press the [CABINET] knob to enter.
- If necessary, turn the [MEMORY] knob and navigate to the PHONES menu.
- Press the [AMBIENCE] knob to enter.
- Navigate to the SURROUND parameter, turn the [CABINET] knob counterclockwise to set the SURROUND to OFF.
- Press the [EXIT] button three times to return to the normal MEMORY patch view.
Since this is a SYSTEM/global setting, a WRITE/save procedure not necessary, and the new setting will be applied to all MEMORY patches.
