It is possible to split the keyboard on the E-A7 and perform using different Tones for the right and left hand.
- Press the [SPLIT] button.
- Ensure that both the [LWR] (Lower part) and [UP1] (Upper 1 part) buttons are lit red.
If not, press the button. This indicates that both parts are "ON" and will be heard when playing the keyboard. - Make sure that the Part Sliders are raised for the LWR and UP1 parts.
- You should now be able to play two different Tones in the left and right hands.
- Press and hold the [SPLIT] button (2-3 seconds) until the SPLIT screen is displayed.
- Press a note on the keyboard to determine the Split Point. This is the point on the keyboard where the LWR part and UP1 part will be separated.
- Press the Right Side [EXIT] button to exit the Split screen (the split screen also disappears automatically after 5 seconds of inactivity).
- To adjust the octave of each part, press one of the OCTAVE [-] or [+] buttons on the far left of the keyboard.
- On the left screen, use the left side direct buttons [L2]-[L5] to add or remove a checkmark next to the part you wish to adjust.
- Press the OCTAVE [-] [+] buttons to raise or lower the octave of the selected Part(s).
