The OCTAVE effect block in the BOSS GX-100 is modelled on the OC-2 compact stompbox pedal. Unlike the OC-5, the OC-2 design only features -1 and -2 octave ranges. As a result, the OCTAVE effect block in the GX-100 is limited to -1 and -2 octave ranges.
