Gigcaster 8: How Do I Perform a Factory Reset?

A factory reset restores the Gigcaster 8 to its original factory settings.

Note: When you execute a factory reset, all saved settings are lost. Back up your data first using the Gigcaster8 GCS-8 App or the unit's BACKUP function, if needed.

1. On the home screen, touch the <> (MENU) button.
2. Touch <SETUP> → <GENERAL>.
   The GENERAL screen appears.
   
3. For a FACTORY RESET, touch <EXECUTE>.
   The FACTORY RESET screen appears.
   

4. Select the settings to restore.
   Right after the display switches to the FACTORY RESET screen, all the settings are selected.

   	OUTPUT settings
   	Sound pad settings
   	Effect pad settings
   	Footswitch settings
   	Expression pedal settings
   	GA-FC settings
   EFFECT PATCH
   GUITAR	Effect patches for which the EFFECTS CATEGORY is set to "GUITAR"
   SING	Effect patches for which the EFFECTS CATEGORY is set to "SING"
   TALK	Effect patches for which the EFFECTS CATEGORY is set to "TALK"

5. Touch <EXECUTE>.
   A confirmation message appears.
   If you decide to cancel, select <NO>.
6. Touch <YES>
   The factory reset is executed.
   Make sure not turn to off the power while the “EXECUTING...” message is shown.
