If the Trigger Activity meter on the TD-50X is reacting when playing on the pads, but you're not hearing sound, check the following;
Connect headphones to one of the PHONES outputs on the front panel of the TD-50X, and then turn up the PHONES volume knob.
Make sure the Group Faders are in the up position.
Check the Local Control parameter in the TD-50X and make sure it is set to "ON."
Here's how:
- Press SETUP.
- Press the PAGE DOWN button to select Page 2.
- Press [F1] (MIDI).
- Press [F1] (BASIC).
- Cursor down to "Local Control."
- Turn the main dial to choose "ON."
- If this is “OFF,” the performance data from the pads is not connected to the TD-50X’s sound generator section. - Press the KIT button when you're finished.
- The new setting is saved automatically.
