You can stream by connecting BRIDGE CAST to your PlayStation 5 without using a computer.
※ BRIDGE CAST cannot control the voice chat and game audio of the PlayStation 5 separately.
Follow the steps below:
- Connect a microphone or headset to the BRIDGE CAST.
*Use an XLR cable for connecting a microphone.
*Use a cable with 4-pole (TRRS) mini-phone plugs (3.5 mm) for connecting a headset.
*See "Connecting to Your Computer or External Equipment and Configuring the Settings" in the BRIDGE CAST Owner's Manual. - Connect your monitor speakers, headphones, or headset to the BRIDGE CAST.
- Set the USB connection setting switch to "CONSOLE MOBILE".
- After booting up your PlayStation 5, use the included USB cable (Type-C to Type-C, or Type-C to Type-A) to connect the PlayStation 5 to the USB port of the BRIDGE CAST.
BRIDGE CAST automatically turns on, and the indicators on the operating panel light up. - To use the voice chat functionality on the PlayStation 5, go to the home screen and select Settings > Sound, and then adjust the following settings:
*Proceed to step 6 if you wish to use a voice chat app on your smartphone.- Microphone > Input Device: USB Headset (BRIDGE CAST)
- Audio Output > Output Device: USB Headset (BRIDGE CAST)
- To use a voice chat app on your smartphone, connect the smartphone to the AUX jack on the BRIDGE CAST using a cable with 4-pole (TRRS) mini-phone 3.5 mm plugs.
By connecting in this way, BRIDGE CAST works like a headset, and the sound from CH[1] (MIC) goes into a smartphone through the AUX jack. And the voice chat audio from PlayStation 5 goes into CH[2] (AUX) of BRIDGE CAST.
*When connecting to an iPad/iPhone that has a Lightning connector, use a Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter, available separately. We recommend the use of Apple genuine products.
Operation during streaming
PlayStation 5 streams the input audio of CH 1 (MIC) on the BRIDGE CAST and the game sound of the PlayStation 5 only. For details on adjusting the volume on the BRIDGE CAST, see "Connecting to a Video Game Console" > "Adjusting the Volume" in the "BRIDGE CAST Owner's Manual".
In the default setting, when the USB connection setting switch is set to "CONSOLE/MOBILE", the CH[3] (CHAT) knob is assigned to USB audio. And the EQ [SELECT] button is applied to CH[3] (CHAT).
