On the SPD-SX PRO, the AUDIO IN jack is a stereo connection (stereo 1/4-inch phone type). When connecting an external audio device such as a smartphone or audio player, make sure both ends of the cable are stereo. A mono connection on either end will not produce stereo sound from the PHONES or MASTER OUT jacks.
