GM-800: Is it possible to play tones with an external MIDI device connected?

Yes. The GM-800 can play tones with MIDI messages received from an external MIDI device (such as a MIDI keyboard) connected to the MIDI IN jack.

Follow the steps below:

1. Press the [MENU] button.
2. Use the PAGE [<] [>] buttons to see the MIDI menu.
3. Press the [4] (MIDI) knob.
4. Press the [1] (MIDI SETTING) knob.
5. Use the [1]-[4] and [SELECT] knobs to select "MIDI" for Note Source.
   *To set different input sources (GK IN, MIDI, USB) for each part, select "CUSTOM" here and then set the input source for Part 1 Source-Part R Source.
