The CS-10EM is a binaural microphone/earphone that is perfect for stereo field recording. The following article guides through connecting and setting up the CS-10EM to be used with the R-07.

There are two 3.5mm stereo mini plug connections available on the CS-10EM:
- Red mini plug -> connected to the MIC/AUX IN jack of the R-07
- Black mini plug -> connected to the PHONES jack of the R-07

- Press the [MENU] button.
- Cursor to "Input" and then press the red record button.
- Cursor to "EXT Mic Type" and use the right cursor button to set this to "STEREO".
- Cursor to "Plug In Power" and use the right cursor button to set this to "ON".
- Press the [MENU] button twice to return to the main screen.
Note: Plug-in power (2-10 volts) is required in order to power the CS-10EM.
Adjusting the Input Level |
- Press the red record button so that it's blinking.
- Begin talking into the CS-10EM.
- While talking, use the INPUT [+] [–] buttons to adjust the recording level. Audio level should appear in the meter:
- Press the red record button again so that it's lit solid. Recording begins.
- Press the stop button to end recording.
