Gigcaster 8: Using the PAD LINK feature with your GA-FC or GA-FC EX

Your GA-FC or GA-FX EX can be mapped to control the 8 pads on your Gigcaster 8!

Firstly please make sure that you have your GA-FC or GA-FC EX setup correctly by following the instructions in this article: Gigcaster 8: Using a GA-FC or GA-FC EX

NOTE: You can assign up to four parameters to a single switch on your GA-FC/GA-FC EX! There are four groups (A–D) each for the switches (PEDAL 1–6) and the expression pedals (EXP 1, 2). You can assign functions to each group and control them at the same time.

Enabling PAD LINK:

1. On the home screen, touch <> (MENU button). The MENU screen appears.
2. Touch <FOOT SW> and then <GENERAL> on the left of the screen.
3. Toggle the PAD LINK setting to "ON."
   

NOTE: Functions you have assigned to each switch on your GA-FC/GA-FC EX will be disabled when using pad link. However you can still control the functions assigned to pads 1-8.

Any expression pedals connected to your GA-FC/GA-FC EX, via the EXP 1 or EXP 2 jacks, are still enabled.
