Audio files can be assigned from a computer to the Sound Pads using the Gigcaster 5 App for Windows or macOS. This is useful if you have your own music, jingles and sound files for the sound pads to play.
Note: The Gigcaster 5 App is required in order to use the Sound Pads.
Assigning Audio Files to the Sound Pads |
- Install the "Gigcaster5 GCS-5 App" from the product download page:
https://www.boss.info/global/products/gigcaster_5/downloads/ - Connect the Gigcaster 5 to the computer with a USB cable.
- Launch the Gigcaster 5 app.
- In the app, click on "PAD" on the left panel.
- Click on the SOUND tab.
- Select the BANK of the pad to which you want to assign the audio file.
- Select a desired pad.
- Click on FILE.
- A window will appear to select the desired audio file. Click to select the desired audio file.
- Click on APPLY to complete the import.
Playing Back Audio

- On the Gigcaster 5, press the
button.
- Press the up and down arrows on the top-right to switch between Banks 1-8.
- Touch sound pads 1-8 to play back their respective sounds.
