You can control the volume of a specific Zone without affecting other Zones.
Note: We recommend using only Roland compatible expression pedals with the RD-88: Roland EV-5, BOSS EV-30, connected to the FC1/L, FC2/C connector.
In this example, an expression pedal is connected to FC1/L.
Set the System Pedal for FC1 to "VOL:CC07."
- From any SCENE, press the MENU button.
- Cursor to "SYSTEM" and press ENTER.
- Cursor to "ASSIGN" and press ENTER.
- Cursor to the SYSTEM ASSIGN - PEDAL page.
- Cursor to select "FC1" and use the DEC / INC buttons to select "VOL:CC07".
- To save this setting, press WRITE, cursor to "SYSTEM" and press ENTER, then cursor to highlight "WRITE" and press ENTER.
- Press EXIT several times to return to the main screen.
Edit the Scene to use the System Pedal Settings.
- Press MENU.
- Cursor to "SCENE EDIT" and press ENTER.
- Cursor to "ASSIGN" and press ENTER.
- Cursor to SCENE ASSIGN - PEDAL page.
- Cursor to select "Source" and use the DEC / INC buttons to select "SYS".
- Press EXIT several times to return to the main screen.
- To save this setting, press WRITE, cursor to "SCENE" and press ENTER, select the location to save the Scene to and press ENTER, specify the name of the Scene if desired and press ENTER, then cursor to highlight "WRITE" and press ENTER.
- Press EXIT several times to return to the main screen.
Specify which Zone(s) will respond to the pedal.
- Press MENU.
- Cursor to "SCENE EDIT" and press ENTER.
- Cursor to "ZONE EDIT" and press ENTER.
- Cursor down to select "CTRL FC1" and use the DEC / INC buttons to select "ON" if you would like the pedal to affect this Zone or "OFF" if you do not want the pedal to affect this Zone.
- Press the 0, 1, or 2 buttons to select Zones UP1, UP2, or LOW.
- After you have made the desired settings save the Scene again (see step 7 in the above section).
