Yes you can! If you only want the GM-800 to play sounds on a certain range of the fretboard, you can assign this parameter in the GUITAR to MIDI settings.
Here's how!
- Press MENU button.
- Press Knob 2 to open CONTROL ASSIGN.
- Press Knob 4 to open GUITAR TO MIDI.
- Press the [>] page right button once to bring up the second page.
- Use the SELECT Knob to scroll down to POS LIMIT SW.
- Use Knob 1 to toggle this ON.
- Use Knob 2 to specify the lowest fret (POS LIMIT LO) at which a sound plays.
- Use Knob 3 to specify the highest fret (POS LIMIT HI) at which a sound plays.
- Press the WRITE button to save the SCENE.
