The Roland GAIA-2 is USB Class Compliant, so it works with your computer via USB without installing any driver. Install the dedicated driver for the following uses:
- To resolve latency or sound quality degradation
- To change the sample rate to match your DAW's settings
To switch to the dedicated driver:
- Disconnect the USB cable between the GAIA-2 and your computer.
- Go to [MENU] > System > USB and set USB Driver to "VENDOR".
- Turn the GAIA-2 off and on again.
- Install the driver for your operating system from the GAIA-2 UPDATE & DOWNLOAD page.
Note: Regardless of whether you install the dedicated driver, use a USB cable that supports data transfer. Charge-only cables cannot transmit data.
