The GAIA-2 is USB Class Compliant, and so you can connect it directly to your PC via USB without installing the dedicated USB driver.
For the following cases, we recommend you install the dedicated USB driver.

When you experience latency or sound quality degradation
Depending on the environment in which you use it, latency may occur. If you are experiencing latency, please try installing a dedicated USB driver and see if that helps.

When you want to change the sample rate
The dedicated USB driver lets you to adjust the sample rate to match the DAW's settings.
Perform the steps below:
- Disconnect the USB connection between the GAIA-2 and computer.
- Go to [MENU] > System > USB and set USB Driver to "VENDOR".
- Turn the power of GAIA-2 off and on again.
- Install the USB driver compatible with the operating system you are using.
