Yes. The BOSS IR-2 automatically saves an edited tone to the currently selected channel whenever you operate a knob.
The edited settings are not saved in the following two cases.
Knobs operated while the effect is off
Operate the knobs while the effect is on to save the edited settings.
Channel switched or power turned off right after editing
Wait about two seconds after editing before switching channels or turning off the power.
