Connecting the IR-2 to your computer (or iOS device)'s USB port allows you to use the IR-2 as a USB audio interface and hear the mixed sound of your performance and the backing track playing on your computer (or iOS device) through the IR-2. Set the USB mode according to the device you want to play the backing track.
Refer to the "Setting the USB Mode" section in the IR Owner's Manual or follow the procedure below.
- Turn off the power (unplug the cable from the INPUT A (MONO) jack).
- Set the type knob to “CRUNCH”.
- Turn the [AMBIENCE], [LEVEL] and [GAIN] knobs all the way counterclockwise, and turn the [BASS], [MIDDLE] and [TREBLE] knobs all the way clockwise.
- While holding down the pedal switch, turn on the power by inserting a plug into the INPUT A (MONO) jack.
After the CHECK indicator lights up green, it cycles between blinking orange five times and staying lit. - Use the type knob to set the USB mode.
- For iOS: Set the type knob to the "CLEAN" position.
A Lightning-USB Camera Adapter (commercially available) is required to connect to an iOS device. - For Windows, macOS: Set the type knob to the "TWN" position.
Install the IR-2 driver that you downloaded from the Roland website.
- For iOS: Set the type knob to the "CLEAN" position.
- Press the pedal switch.
This saves the settings.
Also, the CHECK indicator rapidly blinks red.
You can play normally with this unit after around two to three seconds.
