Connecting a footswitch (FS-5U, FS-6, or FS-7, sold separately) to the CH SEL jack on the BOSS IR-2 limits the pedal switch to the bypass function only, so channels no longer switch.
Note: If you do not need channel switching and do not have a footswitch, connecting an audio cable only to the CH SEL jack also works as an alternative.
