Your GT-1's onboard expression pedal (EXP1) has been set for optimum operation from factory.
However, over time, with extended use the pedal can go out of alignment. This can cause issues such as being unable to fully cut the sound, or being unable to switch the PEDAL FX on and/or off.
To ensure your expression pedal is working in optimum condition, follow these instructions.

Choose [MENU]→ "PDL CALIBRATION"
The PEDAL CALIBRATION screen appears. -
Press the heel end of the pedal and then press the [ENTER] button.
The screen will indicate "OK" and then a screen that looks like the below will display. -
Press the toe end of the pedal and then press the [ENTER] button.
The screen will again indicate "OK" and then a screen that looks like the below will display. -
Strongly press the toe end of the pedal.
Verify the EXP PEDAL SW indicator lights when you strongly press the toe end.
If you want to change the lighting sensitivity of the PEDAL FX indicator, repeat step 4 while you adjust the THRESHOLD value with knob [3]. -
Press the [ENTER] button.
The screen will indicate "COMPLETE!"
