The Gigcaster 8 is able to program a tap tempo using the Sound Pads 1-8, a footswitch or a GA-FC foot controller. This is useful to quickly sync time based effects to the tempo of your song. The following article guides through setting up a tap tempo using a footswitch.
Footswitch Setup
|
- First connect and setup the footswitch: Gigcaster 8: Using a Footswitch or Expression Pedal
- On the home screen, touch <
> (MENU button). The MENU screen appears.
- Touch <FOOT SW> and then <GENERAL> on the left of the screen.
- Touch <CTL/EXP>.
- Touch a control <CTL1> or <CTL2> to select the footswitch pedal for which you want to use for tap tempo.

- Touch the TIME parameter bar and slide it all the way to the right.
- Touch the right hand side of the TIME parameter so that positive and negative icons appear.
- Use the positive and negative icons to select the desired note length
.
- Touch the home icon on the top right to return to the main screen.
- The footswitch can now be used as a tap tempo.
