The V-accordion set editor provides an easy way to create user sets, assigning your favorite orchestral sounds to the main registers on the right and left side of the accordion for easy recall. You can also adjust select parameters including chorus and reverb, as well as assign your favorite accordion sounds to specific registers.
The first thing you need to do is download the free V-accordion set editor, found here:
FR-1X/3X/7X Set Editor Download
Once you've downloaded the software onto your computer, you can use the following procedure to get going:
1) Open the software, and select which accordion you have (1X, 3X, or 7X - this software is not yet available for the FR-8X accordion)
2) Select the register of the tone type that you'd like to edit. For example, if you want to change the orchestral sound for the second register of the set, select "2" across from orchestral register.
4) Next, press the edit button that is straight to the right of "orchestral register"
5) In the window, you'll see that is says "Timbre", and has a bar with an arrow at the end that says whichever tone is selected. Press on that bar, and see that many other sounds are available.
6)* Scroll up or down until you see the sound that you would like to assign to the selected register from step 2
* If you have loaded expansion sounds into your accordion, the new sounds will be found in this section. Scroll to the bottom of the list to find your expanded sounds, with the post-fix "exp". If you have not loaded any sound expansions into your accordion, you will not be able to use these sounds in your accordion.
7) Press the red X in the top left-hand corner of the screen, to return to the main editor screen.
8) Continue this procedure with each register of your set, until you have assigned all of the tones to your liking (including the accordion registers, orchestral bass, orchestral chord, and orchestral free bass registers).
Once you have assigned all of the new sounds to the location of your choice, you'll need to save that set and import it into your accordion. Please follow these instructions:
1) Press the button that says "create set file" on the set editor
2) Save the set, assigning it a new number if you prefer.
3) The set will now be located on your computer (you can save it to the desk top).
4) Plug a USB flash drive into your computer, and drag the new set onto the content of the flash drive.
