The BK-7m can connect to an Apple iPad (r) via USB using the Apple Camera Connector Kit (or Lightning to USB Camera Adapter for iPad 4, iPad Mini, and iPad Air). Use the following procedure to set up this connection:
Note: The BK-7m requires at least system version 1.07 when using with an iPad.
Check the System Version:
1. Press MENU.
2. Cursor to "Global" and press Enter.
3. Cursor to "Utility" and press Enter.
4. Cursor to "Version Info" (this is the last item on this menu) and confirm that the BK-7m has at least version 1.07 installed.

Set the USB Driver in the BK-7m to "Generic."
1. Press MENU.
2. Cursor to "Global" and press Enter.
3. Cursor to "Utility" and press Enter.
4. Cursor to "USB Driver" and press Enter.
5. Use the dial to select "Generic" and press Enter.
6. Press EXIT several times to return to the main BK-7m screen.
Connect to the iPad
1. Connect the USB cable from the USB COMPUTER (square) connector on the back panel of the BK-7m to the Apple Camera Connector Kit, which connects directly to the iPad.
Setting Up the BK-Partner App
1. Start the BK-Partner App on the iPad.
2. Touch the gears icon in the upper right hand corner of the application to open the options window.
3. Touch "BK-7m under "MIDI Devices."
4. Touch elsewhere in the screen to close the options window.
You should now be able to use the BK-Partner app with the BK-7m.
