Backup
1. Hold down [ PLAY/STOP ] and switch on the power.
2. Connect the computer to the TB-3's USB port by a USB cable.
3. Open the "TB-3" drive folder in your personal computer.
4. Copy TB-3 pattern files in "BACKUP" directory into your personal computer.
Pattern 1-1 - 1-8 : TB3_PTN1.PRM - TB3_PTN8.PRM
Pattern 2-1 - 2-8 : TB3_PTN9.PRM - TB3_PTN16.PRM
Pattern 3-1 - 3-8 : TB3_PTN17.PRM - TB3_PTN24.PRM
Pattern 4-1 - 4-8 : TB3_PTN25.PRM - TB3_PTN32.PRM
Pattern 5-1 - 5-8 : TB3_PTN33.PRM - TB3_PTN40.PRM
Pattern 6-1 - 6-8 : TB3_PTN41.PRM - TB3_PTN48.PRM
Pattern 7-1 - 7-8 : TB3_PTN49.PRM - TB3_PTN56.PRM
Pattern 8-1 - 8-8 : TB3_PTN57.PRM - TB3_PTN64.PRM
5. After Copying the file is completed, disconnect the USB cable.
Windows : Right-click on the "TB-3" icon in My Computer and execute "Eject".
Mac : Drag the "TB-3" icon to the Trash icon in the Dock.
6. Turn the TB-3 power off
Restore
1. Hold down [ PLAY/STOP ] and switch on the power.
2. Connect the computer to the TB-3's USB port by a USB cable.
3. Open the "TB-3" drive folder in your personal computer.
4. Copy TB-3 pattern files into "RESTORE" directory.
5. After Copying the file is completed, disconnect the USB cable.
Windows : Right-click on the "TB-3" icon in My Computer and execute "Eject".
Mac : Drag the "TB-3" icon to the Trash icon in the Dock.
6. Turn the TB-3 power off
Tuning
Touch the pad with holding down [ ENV MOD ] button.
The range is from -7.0 to 7.0. (from -700 to 700 cents same as TB-303)
Master Tuning
1. While holding down the [ SCATTER ] button, turn on the power.
2. Turn [ VALUE ] encoder with holding down [ ENV MOD ] button
3. Press the [ START/STOP ] button to save.
The range is from 430 to 450, its step is per 1 Hz.
User Bank
1. Stop the sequencer.
2. Select sound number.
3. Turn [ VALUE ] encoder with holding down [ ENV MOD ] button
to select the destination in user bank. ( U01 - U15 )
4. Press [ PLAY/STOP ] button to save or another buttons to cancel.
Combination of sound number and pattern
1. Select pattern.
2. Press [ STEP REC ] or [ REALTIME REC ] buttons.
3. Turn [ VALUE ] encoder with holding down [ ENV MOD ] button
to select sound number that is in combination with current pattern.
Lock pattern data
1. Select mode excluding STEP REC and REALTIME REC
2. Turn [ VALUE ] encoder with holding down [ PTN SELECT ] button
to lock current pattern or not.
Any editing is erased when pattern is locked
in case of turning down the power or choosing another pattern.
Pitch shift of Pattern
1. Select pattern.
2. Press [ STEP REC ] or [ REALTIME REC ] buttons.
3. Turn [ VALUE ] encoder with holding down [ KEYBOARD ] button.
- A note that is out of note range is limited at top/bottom note and then it's not returned.
- The difference from transpose is whether pattern data is edited or not.
MIDI implementation of slide and accent pattern by control change
CC#18 = Slide, CC#19 = Accent.
MIDI implementation of scatter by control change
CC#68 = SCATTER TYPE, CC#69 = SCATTER DEPTH.
MIDI Local On/Off, MIDI Controller mode
1. Stop the sequencer.
2. Turn [ VALUE ] encoder with holding down [ SCATTER ] button.
LOCAL ON : it sounds by any operation and external midi message
LOCAL OFF : it sounds by only external midi message
MIDI CONTROLLER : it doesn't sound by any operation, only output midi message
MIDI Off
No midi message is output when midi channel is set to OFF.
Extend sequencer note range
From C0 to C6.
Extend transpose range
From -2 to 3 octaves
Extend note range of external midi message
From C0 to C8.
Real time recording by external midi message
Demo mode
1. While holding down the [ SCATTER ] button, turn on the power.
2. Turn [ VALUE ] encoder with holding down [ TEMPO ] button to set the time (minute) to start.
3. Press the [ START/STOP ] button to save.
