The Sequencer Output parameter allows users to specify whether the MC-505 will
control external MIDI devices, internal sounds or both.
Use the following procedure to specify a parts sequencer output:
1) Hold SHIFT and press the keyboard pad #8/SEQ OUT.
2) Press PART SELECT and the desired PART button to select the part.
3) Use the VALUE dial to select the output destination e.g. INT (i), EXT (E),
BOTH (B).
NOTE: If "EXT" is selected, that part will not be heard unless a MIDI device
is connected.
4) Press EXIT.
NOTE: If you wish to use the keyboard pads to directly play an external MIDI
device
set the Local Tx Switch of that part to "EXT."
Use the following procedure to set the Local Tx Switch for each part:
1) Hold SHIFT and press the keyboard pad #12/MIDI.
2) PAGE RIGHT 4 times to display "SYS:MIDI LocalTX."
3) Press PART SELECT and the desired PART button to select the part.
4) Use the VALUE dial to select the output destination. e.g. INT (i), EXT (E),
BOTH (B).
5) Press EXIT.
