The RM-2 contains 28 instrument sounds that can be triggered by the pad. Use the following procedure to change the sound:
1. Press SEL so the flashing light is under "PAD INST."
2. Use the VALUE UP or DOWN buttons to select the desired sound.
3. Strike the pad to audition the newly selected sound.
4. Press SEL three times to return to the play mode.
