The Fantom-S and S-88 come with 16MB of RAM standard. To see how much time you have for sampling, press [SAMPLING]. The screen will tell you how many MB are remaining.
Take that number and divide it by ten. The resulting number is how many stereo minutes you have to sample or record audio.
For example, if the sampling page says you have 12MB of RAM free, you can sample for approximately 1.2 minutes in stereo.
As you might expect, installing 256MB of RAM (+16MB internal gives you 272MB) will give you another 25.6 minutes in stereo.
If you sample in mono, you can effectively double your available sample time.
