The Local Control setting determines whether or not the keyboard plays its internal sound source. When using the ep-3, ep-5 or ep-7 with a sequencer that has "soft thru" turned on, the keyboards Local Control must be turned off to avoid double triggering of notes. Use the following procedure to turn Local off:
1. While holding PIANO, E. PIANO and STRINGS, press the C key one octave above Middle C.
Use the following procedure to turn Local Control back on:
1. While holding down PIANO, E. PIANO and STRINGS, press the B key above Middle C.
NOTE: Each time the unit is turned on, Local Control is automatically turned on.
