Most computer-based audio programs import WAV files. When you want to export the tracks to transfer to audio DAW software, use the Track Export feature to burn the tracks on a CD as WAV files. As long as the computer has a CD drive connected, the WAV files can be imported into the audio software.
Note about USB connection:
While there was VS-2000 WAV Convert software in the past that allowed direct USB connection to a computer, the last compatible operating systems were for Windows XP and Mac OS X 10.6. Later operating systems are not compatible and exporting as WAV files to CD is the only remaining option.
WAV Export to CD:
1. Insert a blank CDR or CD/RW into your CD burner.
2. Press the CD-RW button to acess the CD-RW Mastering menu.
3. Press F5 for "TrkExp".
4. Use the TIME/VALUE dial to scroll through the tracks and use F4 to put a checkmark in the box next to the track you wish to export. If you would like to select all the tracks, press F3 for "ALL".
5. When you've selected all the tracks you wish to export, press F5 for "Next".
6. The tracks you selected should be listed in the Source Track box. Cursor to the Verify box and turn it to "On".
7. Cursor down to the CD Speed box and turn it to "Max".
8. To export the track(s), press F5 for "OK".
Notes:
- If you have trouble burning, try it at a slower speed.
- If a "CD Full" or "Disc Full" message appears when attempting to export, this means that the data of the tracks selected is too large to fit onto one disc--multiple discs will be needed. In this case, select less tracks to export at once.
- If an "Operation Failed" message appears or there are issues burning, the following article addresses this:
